Announcing retirement.

Post by erwtenpeller on Sun Jul 20, 2014 2:56 pm

An important notice has been pinned to the notice board.

Attention Braves!

After seven months of glory and success, my time has come to retire as Glorious Leader.

I am proud of what we, together, have created. What started as an adventurer's party of five, has grown into a flourishing guild of strong-minded men and women.

In true Band of the Brave fashion, a new Glorious Leader will be elected by their peers.

During the coming week, anyone who thinks they've got what it takes, be they Founding Member, Greenhorn, or anything in-between, may step forward as a candidate.

On Monday the 28th of July, during the Monday meeting, a new Glorious Leader will be elected from the candidates.

I will remain present as a Founding Member, but I can no longer bear the weight of leadership.

King's Honor,
- Theadore Wellsworth.

Lovely people,

Leading this guild for the last seven months has brought me a lot of joy. I have grown incredibly fond of the community that has grown around it, and I want to continue to be a part of it.

However, I can't invest the amount of time in it anymore that I have thus far. I'm almost done with school, there's a job hunt coming, and my girlfriend and me are considering moving in together. We're considering building a life together. Even a family, eventually. My priorities are shifting, and it is unfair to you guys to become the Gloriously Inactive Leader. This guild deserves better. This guild deserves the best.

Whoever is elected for leadership will be given full authorship of the guild's destiny. I encourage them to shape it to their vision, as I did as my time as the Leader. Change the ranks, change the guild's mission, it's rules, it's identity, edit the forums-- Or don't! These are things the new leader will have to decide on. All I ask is that the Founding Member rank is kept in place, to honor those five that came together with me to start this wonderful journey.

I would like the change of leadership to have a large in-character component. I've always strived to do as much through role-play as possible, and this is no exception.

This was a really, really hard decision to make, but in order to grow as a person I have to let go of this project.

Leading this guild has been the best experience in my time as a role-player, and I hope to see it continue to evolve and flourish under new leadership.

I love all of you. Best Guild EU.

You did well, kid.

Everybody here owes you everything.

The next Glorious Leader will have large shoes to fill, that's for sure.

Good luck with your life!

It's a shame that you've got to step down, but a mature choice to make.
If people want me to step up, I don't mind leading OOC.  Let the Braves decide.
